1. Indus Crafts Foundation Participate in Ladies gym Khana Khairpur Exhibition on 19th & 20th September 2015.

The Management of Ladies Gym Khana Khairpur Mir’s organized "Eid Bachat Meena Bazar and Cloth Exhibition" on September 19-20, 2015 in Ladies Gym Khana. The objective of organizing the event was to empower the women entrepreneurs in Sindh. The Women working in textile garments, fashion designing, handicrafts, jewelry, fancy candles, handmade gift items, leather garments, furniture and fixtures showed up and exhibited their products to public.

The exhibition timing was from 6.00pm to 10.00pm,consequent upon the request of Management of Ladies Gym Khana, Indus Crafts Foundation also participated in the exhibition to promote the Handmade product of ICF which made by woman artisans at their home. ICF products ranged from Bags, Diaries, File Covers, Cushions, Ajrak, Apparels, Key Chains, Tablet Pouches, Mobile pouches, glasses pouches, Khess, shirts to bed covers, jandri, dates, scenery painting, and others. Promotion Material was also placed like backdrop, pan flex standees, brochures, customer comments diary, and visiting cards.

The stall was visited by hundreds of ladies and Member of National Assembly, Dr. Nafisa Shah Jillani who was Chief Guest of the event, also visited ICF stall and appreciated the products, presentation, and packaging and over all display. Ms. Bella briefed the presence about the products.

The event came to conclusion with a Musical Night & Dance for audience entertainment. The overall Sales stood at Rs: 6,950/-

2. ICF Setup Display Corner at Interactive Seminar for Stakeholder of BBSYDP on 3rd October 2015 at IBA Sukkur

BBSYDP division Sukkur & District Khairpur Manager s arrange the interactive seminar with Heads of BBSYDP & stakeholder at gross root level at IBA Sukkur, also arrange display corner for all stakeholder to display their product of artisans who trained in the project of BBSYDP.

Indus crafts Foundation also participate in Seminar, & also install display corner of the products which made by artisans during the project of BBSYDP.

Indus Crafts Foundation got good response from the entire stakeholders, students of IBA and also got appreciation by head of BBSYDP during visit of ICF display corner, ICF team briefly explain the project detail and how ICF empower those trained artisans.

3. Indus Crafts Foundation Participate in Peace & Cultural Festival on 13 October 2015 at Sukkur Press Club

On 13th Oct 2015, Indus Crafts Foundation participated and arranged its Stall of Handmade Products in "Peace & Cultural Festival 2015" at Sukkur Press Club, beautifully organized & Arranged by Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO).

The Festival was organized to promote Peace & Culture of Sindh, also to aware & to bring forward the rural artisans and crafts by promoting peace and unity. The Festival was arranged of around +2000 people, including Different Communities, Schools Colleges & more than 30 Organization were invited to play their role in the promotion of peace at one platform. The Festival was inaugurated by DC Sukkur at 12:00 pm and was open to public for the whole day.

The festival include Craft Bazar, Book stalls, Tuk Shops & Speeches & Tableaus were performed by different Organizations & School’s Pupils on the subject of Peace & Unity, the audience were entertained also by the Folk Music and Musical night. The Craft Bazaar ends at 5:00 pm but the Musical event went the whole night.

A lot of print & Broadcast Media Groups cover the festival the whole day and their main focus was the Craft Bazar, due to having attractive traditional Handicraft’s products. ICF’s Vision & Objectives was represented to the whole media & Visitors during this short day event.

ICF stall was appreciated by the stall holders, SPO Staff, Media & Visitors due to having different & quality products as comparing to other Stalls Products.

Different Organizations Including Bait ul Mall & Naari Foundation after Visiting ICF stalls, they asked to Provide them Consultancy & Training to their Trainees as they appreciated the quality work & Designs of our Products. The ICF’s Brochures & Visiting cards handed over for further Contact to ICF Management for further Process.

During this short Day Crafts Exhibition of around 5 hours, products of Rs: 6030/=

4. Indus Craft Foundation setup Stall at park tower Karachi on 26th October to 1st November 2015

ICF Setup Stall at Park tower Karachi for the promotion & increase the sell of ICF product, stall timing was 11:00am to 11:00pm.

ICF products ranged from Bags, Diaries, File Covers, Cushions, Ajrak, Apparels, Key Chains, Tablet Pouches, Mobile pouches, glasses pouches, Khess, shirts to bed covers & dates. Also promotion material placed at stall.

ICF got good response from mall management, customer & visitor of mall, over all sell of stall is 25000/=.

5. Placement of Stall in Annual Festival of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast

Consequent upon the request of Social Welfare Department-Khairpur Mirs to place crafts related stall on 194th Annual Festival of Hazrat Sachal Sarmat, Indus Crafts Foundation participated and placed stall for sale and promotion of its products. The stall was inaugurated by current Sajjada Nasheen of shrine. The products placed were Bags, Diaries, File Covers, Cushions, Ajrak, Sindhi Topi, Apparels, Key Chains, Tablet Pouches, and others. Around 300 people visited the stall and appreciated the work.

The stalls were ranked by Social Welfare Department on the basis of quality of products, quantity of products, No of visitors, over all cleanliness and attitude of stall holders. It is pleasure to share that ICF Stall secured second position followed the Social Welfare Department Stall which stood at first.

We congratulate Mr Suleman Baig and Ms Bella Nazeer for their untiring efforts and efficient management in promoting the cause of ICF.

 

6. ICF Participation in 7th International Khairpur Dates Exhibition & Seminar

Pakistan is the fifth leading dates producer in the world. The dates are mainly produced in Sindh in general and Khairpur Mirs’ in particular. In order to promote and motivate the growers of date palm, district administration of Khairpur Mirs organizes International Date Exhibition every year in which people from business sector, agriculture sector, civil society, corporate and government participate. The 7th International Khairpur Dates Exhibition & Seminar was organized by district administration Khairpur on August 22-23, 2015 and was inaugurated by Chief Minister Sindh Sayed Qaim Ali Shah Jillani here on August 22, 2015.

Indus Crafts Foundation also participated in this flagship event of district Khairpur by placing two stalls in the exhibition. The products placed were Bags, Diaries, File Covers, Cushions, Ajrak, Apparels, Key Chains, Tablet Pouches, Mobile pouches, glasses pouches, Khess, shirts, bed covers, jandri, dates, scenery painting, and others. Promotion Material was also placed like backdrop, panaflex standees, brochures, customer comments diary, and visiting cards.

The stall was visited by many renowned personalities like Deputy Commissioner Khairpur, Assistant Deputy Commissioner Khairpur, Deputy Director Social Welfare Khairpur and other respectable citizens. Member of National Assembly, Dr Nafisa Shah Jillani also visited ICF stalls and appreciated the work of Indus Crafts products like cushions, ICF date palm product, painting, jandri and Khess work and over all presentation. She also awarded cash prize of Rs 2,000/- to ICF Artisan Mr Shahnawaz Ali for his remarkable work in Khess.

The stalls were ranked by Social Welfare Department on the basis of quality of products, quantity of products, No of visitors, over all cleanliness and attitude of stall holders. It is pleasure to share that ICF Stall secured second position followed the stall of Bhittai Social Watch and Advocacy (BSWA) which stood at first.

The closing ceremony was presided by Dr Nafisa Shah Jillani who presented shield of 2nd best stall in handicraft category to General Manager ICF-Mr Hamid Ali Shaikh. The event came to conclusion with speeches from government officers, growers, civil society members, and Dr Nafisa Shah Jillani followed by a musical night.
